About Grove Mechanical
In November 1978, Clifford and Wayne Grove, leveraging years of combined experience in the heating and air conditioning industry, founded Grove Heating and Air Conditioning. Initially operating from the Kiewel building, where White Seal Beer was once brewed, they specialized in sheet metal fabrication and primarily residential HVAC services. By 1981, the business had grown, prompting a move to the Old County Shop on Hwy 2, and later to its current location at 1001 Bruce St. Due to health reasons, Cliff sold his share of the business to his two sons, and the company expanded into light commercial HVAC. Cliff remained active, training many HVAC technicians who now serve various communities. In 1991, the company was renamed Grove Mechanical Incorporated, staying true to Cliff’s vision of providing a complete customer satisfaction experience.
In February 2018, Wayne Grove retired after more than 40 years of turning his dream into reality. Today, Grove Mechanical is owned by Ryan StMichel, Wayne’s nephew and Cliff’s grandson, who continues to uphold the family’s legacy. The company remains committed to delivering the “Hometown Heating and Cooling Professional” experience that many families have grown to expect and deserve, serving the surrounding communities with dedication and expertise.
